REUNION EVENTS
Friday 13 September 2024
1630: Meet in the living room at the Inn (for those staying there).
1745: Leave to walk (8 min.) or drive (2 min.) to dinner.
1800: Optional informal gathering at Caffe Pinguini, 6935 Pacific Ave Playa del Rey, CA 90293. (310) 306-0117. Dress to sit outside close to the beach. Local classmates are welcome to join us, please indicate on your registration form.
Dinner and drinks as desired. Plan is to ask for separate checks, but this may need to change depending on the number of people attending.
Saturday 14 September 2024
0730: Breakfast for those staying at The Inn
0845: Drive to USC using POV’s. Car pool if possible.
NOTE: USC now requires all visitors to be registered before entering the campus. The Unit Admin will take care of this for us based on your registration forms.
0930: Meet in the Wardroom, PE Bldg. Talk with MIDN, tour unit spaces.
1030 – 1200: USC campus tours guided by MIDN.
1200 – 1300: lunch at USC Village (multiple casual restaurants)
1300: Afternoon is open for your enjoyment, Possible activities:
- Stay on campus
- Visit Getty Center. Admission is free.
- Visit other LA attractions; Huntington Library, Griffith Park Observatory, Hollywood Sign, etc.
- Nap
- Pub crawl
1700: Inn residents gather in the living room for evening wine time. Leave for dinner at 17:45 (5 min. drive).
1800: Dinner at SOL Mexican Cocina, 12775 Millennium Dr., UNIT 160, Playa Vista, CA 90094 (424) 289-0066. Check out the menu!
- Travel back to the 1970’s via multimedia presentation
- Guest speaker: Col Tracy Perry, USMC: CO LA NROTC
- Guest speaker: MIDN 1/C Paradis, BNCO, Trojan Battalion
- Share a “sea story” from USC or your time on active duty
2030 or later: wrap-up and depart

0730 – 0900: Breakfast for those staying at The Inn
1000: Optional tour of USS Iowa (BB-61) followed by brunch on the San Pedro waterfront. Check the box on your registration form if interested. CANCELLED due to insufficient interest.
1100: Checkout from the Inn at Playa del Rey
